Reporting to the manager or designate, the Maintenance Scheduler/Planner, Facilities Maintenance & Operations (FMO) develops, administers, and updates maintenance plans entered in a computerized system for equipment and assets relating to Facilities, Maintenance, and Operations activities. Maintenance plans are used regularly by trades and maintenance staff in a variety of activities, including preventive and demand maintenance activities, renovations, and equipment purchases/removals. The Maintenance Scheduler/Planner ensures plans are up-to-date according to equipment and asset specifications and procedures, and regularly liaises with designated staff by providing work direction on maintenance plans, interpretation of plan specifications, published standards, and drawings. Travel is a requirement of this position and transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the Vancouver Island Health Authority.
Grade 12, graduation from a recognized program in building technology plus 3 years' recent related experience, including one year in a supervisory capacity or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Valid class 5 BC Driver's License.
