We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Baker & Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience producing high-quality baked goods and decorating custom cakes using whipping cream, buttercream, and fondant. Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods including cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pastries, brownies, muffins, and other desserts.
- Decorate custom cakes using whipping cream, buttercream, and fondant according to customer specifications.
- Create smooth finishes, borders, flowers, piping, textured designs, and themed cake decorations.
- Ensure all baked goods meet quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
- Operate bakery equipment safely and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies are running low.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the bakery team to meet daily production and customer deadlines.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a baker, cake decorator, or in a commercial bakery.
- Must have hands-on experience working with whipping cream, buttercream, and fondant.
- Experience decorating custom celebration and wedding cakes is an asset.
- Knowledge of baking techniques, mixing methods, and dessert production.
- Strong piping, smoothing, and cake finishing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and creativity.
- Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
A portfolio of previous cake decorating and baking work is required. Applicants must provide photos or a portfolio showcasing their skills with custom cakes, desserts, and other baked goods.
