Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and skilled line cook to join our team. We are a family run business, with a VERY fun work environment. Working here is very different than most kitchens, you will be face to face with customers due to the open kitchen atmosphere and will be interacting with them on a regular basis. You will also travel with us from events to festivals to weddings and more! We have 2 food trucks, one that stays on site at the CV Dodge dealership and one that travels around the island doing events. This job is based around both of our food trucks, some shifts will be at events, which could mean anywhere from 3-8hr shifts, and some at our permanent location, which will be more consistent 8 hour shifts. For the right person, this job starts at $19/hour with 3$-$6/hour in tips. We ask that you have a few years of working as a line cook or higher before considering applying, as we need someone that will be able to be trained to cook our menu right away.
Responsibilities
- Having a good knowledge of our menu, and how to execute all of the items to their highest potential
- Execution of recipes
- Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure that all menu items are prepared to the highest quality standards and presented beautifully.
- Understanding and executing closing duties
- Being knowledgeable about things like propane levels, stock of items including containers, napkins, 2oz cups and much more
Requirements
- Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and handling practices.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
- Experience in front of house is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality food.
