Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Trades Recruiter to join our downtown Calgary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring skilled trades professionals to meet the company's operational needs. This role requires a strong understanding of talent acquisition strategies, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with various ATS platforms. The Trades Recruiter will play a vital role in building a robust talent pipeline and fostering positive employee relations across the organization.
Duties
- Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies to identify qualified trades candidates through cold calling, lead generation, and research.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting processes including interviewing, screening, and assessing candidates’ skills and fit for the organization.
- Maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide consultative support on talent acquisition.
- Conduct negotiations with candidates regarding job offers, ensuring alignment with company policies and candidate expectations.
- Leverage ATS tools to manage applicant flow efficiently.
- Engage in employer branding activities to enhance the company's reputation as an employer of choice in the trades industry.
- Maintain accurate records of recruitment metrics, prepare daily KPI reports for leadership review.
Requirements
- Proven experience in full cycle recruitment, with a focus on trades or technical roles.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent interviewing capabilities.
- Experience with Bullhorn ATS is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to research market trends and develop innovative sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill positions.
- Experience with employee relations initiatives including onboarding, training & development programs.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
