We are hiring a Dock Supervisor to work with our client in Vaughan!
Location: Janes and Langstaff area
Day -Monday through Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30PM Monday through Friday
Pay Rate: $28.00 per hour
Transportation Dock Supervisor:
JOB DUTIES
- Responsible for supervision of 5+ Associates – Forklift operators and shunters
- Prepare PO’s and paperwork for Administration
- Load and unload trucks for client overnight needs
- Supervise and assist in staging freight as needed
- Manage dock areas and trailer line ups for loading
- Loading 35 trailers (+/- 5)
- Team of 10
- Strip 50 (+/- 5) trailers and straight trucks
- Coordinate 60 shunts
- Manage 50 dock doors
- Process 100 emails/day
- Host weekly meetings
- Door checks every 45 mins
Experience and Requirements
- 3-5 years previous supervisory experience
- Must have experience in a high-volume, fast paced LTL/crossdock operations
- Valid counterbalance Forklift license and experience
Along with the following Skills & Competencies:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong leadership and analytical skills
· Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
· MS Office proficiency necessary; Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
· Shiptrack
