We are currently hiring compassionate and dependable Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our team at a long-term care home located in Tweed. The ideal candidate is caring, professional, and dedicated to providing high-quality support and comfort to residents in a respectful and supportive environment.
Previous long-term care experience is considered a strong asset.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
- Support resident mobility, transfers, and repositioning safely
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
- Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans
- Assist with meal service and hydration support
- Follow infection prevention and safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with nurses and healthcare staff to provide quality resident care
Qualifications
- Valid PSW Certificate from an accredited program
- Previous Long-Term Care (LTC) experience preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification considered an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
- Reliable transportation preferred
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 60.0 per week
