ReRestoration, Demolition & Finishing Labourer

TC Contracting is looking for a reliable and hardworking employee to join our team. We are looking for someone with a background working with tools who is physically fit, dependable, and comfortable working in demolition, restoration, renovation, and finishing work.
This position is best suited for someone who can think on their feet, follow instructions, work safely, and adapt to different types of job sites. Work may vary from day to day and can include demolition, cleanup, drywall, insulation, poly, painting, priming, baseboards, and other general contracting tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
The employee may be required to help with:
- Demolition and construction cleanup
- Restoration work after water or fire damage
- Drywall removal, repairs, prep, and patching
- Insulation and poly installation
- Priming and painting
- Baseboard and finishing work
- Basic carpentry and renovation tasks
- Loading, hauling, and disposal
- Job site preparation and cleanup
- Assisting trades and other crew members
- Taking job photos and updating our dispatch/job management program
- Keeping job sites clean, safe, and organized
- Following safety procedures and company expectations
Required Qualifications
The right candidate must have:
- Some background working with tools
- Valid driver’s licence
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Ability to lift, carry, bend, and work on your feet throughout the day
- Good attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Ability to think on your feet and problem-solve
- Comfort using a phone/app for dispatch, job notes, photos, and scheduling
- Reliability and punctuality
Experience Considered an Asset
Experience in any of the following is a bonus:
- Demolition
- Restoration work
- Renovations
- Drywall repairs
- Painting and priming
- Baseboards and finishing carpentry
- Insulation and poly
- General construction
