Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Crew Leader/Labourer to join our landscaping and horticulture team. This role involves supervising and participating in various outdoor projects, including landscape maintenance, gardening, and irrigation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in horticulture or construction, and the ability to manage a team effectively while executing physical outdoor tasks efficiently.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a crew in completing landscape maintenance, gardening, and irrigation projects
- Assist with planting, pruning, mowing, and general garden care
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools safely and effectively
- Oversee project timelines, ensure quality standards are met, and coordinate daily tasks
- Support team members with technical tasks related to horticulture, irrigation systems, and construction work
- Ensure safety protocols are followed on-site at all times
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, or related fields
- Supervising or leadership experience in outdoor or construction environments is preferred
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, plant care, and landscape techniques
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
- Basic construction skills are a plus
- Valid driver’s license is needed for transportation between job sites
- Commitment to safety standards and environmental best practices
Pay: $19.00-$26.00 per hour
