Big White Ski Resort is accepting applications for Rental Shop Associates for the upcoming winter season. This role is the welcoming face of our rental operations, focusing heavily on guest service, smooth administrative flow, and point-of-sale operations. If you are organized, love interacting with people, and want to help guests get their mountain day started right, this is the role for you!
Full training will be provided for all computer and equipment fitting systems. While this role focuses on guest service and cashiering, there are opportunities to cross-train and learn technical ski/snowboard skills as the season progresses.
Guest Service & Admin: Greet and assist customers warmly, support customer sign-in, and ensure thorough, accurate completion of all rental contracts and documentation.
Cashier Operations: Operate RTP rental software to process orders, take payments, set up rental forms, and handle refunds or exchanges efficiently.
Equipment Fitting: Select and properly fit guests with all levels of equipment, including skis, snowboards, boots, poles, helmets, cross-country gear, clothing, and snowshoes.
Happy Valley Support: Assist in the Skate Rental Shop at Happy Valley as required.
Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming front-of-house work environment.
Excellent communication, administrative, and customer service skills.
Strong keyboarding, data entry, and basic math skills for handling transactions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, guest-facing environment.
A professional, approachable attitude and a strong commitment to teamwork.
Reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic about engaging with guests of all ages.
- Must be available to work a flexible, rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.
- Ability to work additional hours/overtime during peak season volume to meet guest service demands.
