Our client, a large, publicly listed and growing organization with operations across North America, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting to the Controller, this role offers excellent exposure to financial reporting, analysis, compliance, and process improvement initiatives within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
Preparation of financial statements and reporting packages for multiple entities across North America.
Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting working papers for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls.
Analyze monthly financial results and investigate variances, providing meaningful commentary and recommendations
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Support intercompany accounting activities and reconciliations
Participate in financial reporting and compliance activities
Assist with internal controls and audit requirements
Collaborate with finance, operations, and other business stakeholders to support reporting and analysis needs
Contribute to process improvement initiatives, systems enhancements, and finance transformation projects
Support ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects as required
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
CPA designation completed or actively pursuing completion
3+ years of progressive accounting experience
Exposure to public company reporting, internal controls, or audit environments
Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems
Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end processes
Experience working within a complex or multi-entity environment is considered an asset
