Greenfoot Energy Solutions is looking for an experienced Sheet Metal and Ventilation Installer to join our residential installation team in Kentville, NS.
As a Sheet Metal & Ventilation Technician, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting with installing sheet metal & ventilation systems in residential settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead installations of ductwork and ventilation equipment in residential retrofit and new construction applications.
- Conduct independent site visits for central system swaps, including accurately measuring for required materials and executing installations efficiently and effectively.
- Read and interpret work specifications and layout sheet metal according to templates.
- Fit and join metal parts using welding and similar equipment to fabricate products such as ventilation shafts and exhaust hoods.
- Measure and cut piping and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment.
- Work with and measure metal sheets precisely to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Prepare regular reports on safety performance indicators, trends, and compliance status for management review.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience installing fully ducted heating, cooling and ventilation systems in residential settings.
- Experience ducting heat pump air handlers and ducted concealed units.
- Ambitious, detail-oriented, friendly, willing to learn/adapt, and works well in a team environment.
- Apprentice or Red Seal/Journeyperson status is considered an asset.
- Valid Driver's License
