Overview
Are you looking for flexible, hands-on work in a fast-paced and rewarding industry? We are seeking a Temporary / As-Needed General Labourer to join our restoration team. In this role, you will assist with emergency property restoration services resulting from fires, floods, sewer backups, mould contamination, and other property damage losses.
This is an on-call position that supports emergency response services within the insurance restoration industry. Ideal candidates are reliable, physically capable, customer-focused, and able to work effectively in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove damaged building materials, including drywall, carpeting, flooring, and insulation.
- Move, protect, and relocate contents such as furniture and personal belongings within damaged properties.
- Perform general cleaning and final cleaning services following property damage events, including floods, fires, and sewer backups.
- Set up and monitor restoration equipment, including dehumidifiers, air movers, air scrubbers, and deodorization equipment.
- Take and record moisture readings using specialized equipment.
- Assist with mould remediation and containment procedures.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Communicate job progress, site conditions, and project updates to management and team members.
- Deliver professional and courteous customer service while working in residential and commercial properties.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and emergency on-call shifts.
- Must be dependable and available to respond to emergency service calls when required.
- Previous restoration, construction, demolition, or labour experience is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of restoration emergency services, water damage mitigation, or mould remediation is an asset.

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
