Job Description
Our Service Advisor will be collaborating with our sales and service staff to provide customers with a high-quality repair experience for our Retractable Tarp Systems installed on flatbed trailers. You will be involved with all aspects of our service and repair division, including customer service, providing estimates and invoicing.
Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working closely with a diverse customer base and has a strong background in problem-solving. You are a proven self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as within a group setting. Although we require a candidate with some mechanical aptitude, hands-on training in a shop environment will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Work in our service/repair department by handling customer enquiries, generating estimates and completing invoicing
- Communicate and interact with customers (via telephone, email)
- Respond to requests for repair estimates and provide lead times, etc.
- Assist with customer inside sales when required
- Collaborate with the Service Co-Ordinator to deliver excellent customer service
- Work jointly with repairs team to take accurate measurements of systems to be repaired and generate drawings for tarp panel replacement when required.
- Filing invoices, packing slips and work orders.
- Handle cash, credit card or debit card transactions.

Qualifications

- Mechanically inclined
- You’re an exceptional 'people-person' with a strong business acumen.
- Considerable customer service and support skills with a minimum of 1-2 years related experience.
- Knowledge of the transportation sector an asset but not required
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency demonstrating strong leadership skills.
- Strong initiative and ability to handle increasing responsibility over time.
- Reliable and punctual team player with a positive attitude. You can be counted on to get the job done on time and with attention to detail.
- Computer and technology competent.
- Previous experience working with an ERP system preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office and systems software.
- Excellent telephone manners.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Multilingualism would be a definite advantage.
- Physically capable of climbing on and off of tractor trailers (or using ladders or rolling stair ladders) for the purpose of quoting repair jobs accurately.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Position is full-time Monday through Friday.
