Position
This Position is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will lead on-site teams, coordinate resources, manage client relationships, and maintain compliance with all regulatory and corporate policies.
Position is Monday to Friday, managing operations over the weekends as needed.
Job Duties
- Review project specifications and drawings to understand project requirements.
- Promote and maintain a healthy and positive safe working environment/culture by showing effective leadership and participation in safety related matters.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify and address any issues or deficiencies.
- Implement corrective measures as needed to maintain quality standards.
- Manage and allocate resources efficiently, including materials, equipment, and manpower.
- Monitor progress against the schedule and take proactive measures to mitigate delays.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for communication between the project team, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Conduct regular meetings with the project team to discuss progress, issues, and action plans.
- Work collaboratively with the project team to develop creative solutions to unforeseen issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients
Safety Procedures & Requirements
- Follow underground safety protocols strictly, including PPE use and ventilation requirements
- Comply with all mine safety regulations, procedures, and the Ground Control Management Plan
- Enforce safety regulations and protocols on-site to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Develop (with appropriate team members) QAQC forms/ITP’s, JHA’s, methodologies and procedures to execute the work successfully, safely, and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Demonstrates a strong team-oriented attitude
- Previous experience in industrial mining
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving, planning, organizational, and priority-setting skills, supported by a strong work ethic
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Flexible, adaptable, and proactive in responding to change
- Pre-employment medical exam and drug test will be required
