Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate Instructor – Medical Office Administration to join our team at Kikkawa College in Toronto. In this role, you will deliver hands-on training to aspiring medical office professionals, equipping them with the administrative, clinical, and communication skills needed to thrive in healthcare settings. We have two available teaching batches: an afternoon batch (12:00 PM – 4:00 PM) and an evening batch (5:00 PM – 9:00 PM) .
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons on medical terminology, healthcare office procedures, electronic medical records (EMR), patient scheduling, and billing/coding basics.
- Teach modules covering medical transcription, health information management, and professional communication in healthcare environments.
- Provide hands-on training with industry-standard medical office software and EMR systems.
- Assess student progress through practical evaluations, assignments, and examinations, providing constructive feedback.
- Mentor students on job search strategies, resume building, and interview preparation for medical office roles.
- Maintain a positive and interactive learning environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a medical office, healthcare administration, or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, EMR systems, patient intake procedures, and healthcare billing fundamentals.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly to diverse learners.
- Teaching or mentoring experience is preferred but not required.
- Passion for guiding students toward successful careers in healthcare administration.
Available Schedules:
- Afternoon batch: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
- Evening batch: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
