Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including but not limited to tractor-trailer, refrigerated trailer, flatbed, and tanker operations. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight to designated locations while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and flatbeds, in a safe and efficient manner
- Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo
- Navigate assigned routes for timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with traffic laws
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other required documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport
- Utilize manual transmission when necessary, demonstrating proficiency in various driving conditions
- Operate forklifts or other equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in truck driving with knowledge of refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks preferred
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and route driving logistics
- Ability to perform manual transmission driving effectively
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining delivery records
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of long-distance driving and load/unload tasks
- Previous delivery driver experience is a plus
