Job Summary
Staff Plus is seeking a Production Supervisor to support our client in food manufacturing operations in Vaughan. The ideal candidate will coordinate production team members operating ovens and line machines to produce and package the products, while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency standards are consistently met.
Hours: Must be flexible to work rotating shifts (days, afternoons, nights, weekends), 8-hour shifts, Monday to Sunday. Must be available by phone 24/7.
Duties
- Coordinate daily production schedules and oversee team performance to meet production targets.
- Ensure all food safety, quality, and sanitation standards are consistently followed, including gluten safety protocols.
- Monitor equipment, address operational issues, and maintain accurate production records.
- Supervise Team Leads and operators, providing guidance, coaching, and conflict resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain inventory control.
- Support product recall processes and ensure traceability of all materials and finished goods.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Experience in food manufacturing or processing, including supervising large teams (60–80 employees per shift).
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and quality standards.
- Leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- First Aid certification required.
- Flexible to work all shifts, including on-call availability.
- Comfortable in moderately noisy and cold environments (around 6°C).
- Basic mechanical aptitude and computer skills are a plus.

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
