Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic dealership team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring a seamless and positive service experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of automotive systems, and the ability to upsell services effectively. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is highly valued, along with a solid foundation in mechanical knowledge and customer service. The Service Advisor plays a crucial role in building customer loyalty while supporting the dealership's sales objectives.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing rapport and understanding their vehicle concerns.
- Listen carefully to customer descriptions of issues and accurately document vehicle symptoms.
- Provide clear explanations of recommended services and repairs, ensuring customers understand their options.
- Prepare detailed repair orders, including parts and labor estimates, while maintaining accuracy in documentation.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services.
- Upsell additional maintenance or repair services that meet customer needs, enhancing dealership revenue.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of automotive repair procedures, dealership promotions, and warranty policies.
- Keep the service area organized and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dealership or automotive service environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and automotive repair processes.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Proven sales ability, including upselling services and parts effectively.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Professional appearance and demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
