About the Role
We are looking for a motivated, creative, and organized Wedding & Event Décor Manager to join our team. This role combines sales, client relations, décor planning, staff leadership, and event execution. You will be the main point of contact for décor-related services and will work closely with our Event Manager to ensure every event runs smoothly from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relations & Sales
- Meet with clients to discuss décor needs, themes, and event details
- Provide décor recommendations, packages, and upsell opportunities
- Prepare quotes, take payments, and manage décor-related invoices
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and future business opportunities
Décor Planning & Execution
- Design and plan décor layouts for mainly weddings and receptions and some corporate events, and banquets
- Oversee full décor setup and teardown for each event
- Ensure décor inventory is organized, maintained, and ready for use
- Coordinate with vendors when required (florists, rental companies, etc.)
Event Coordination
- Work closely with the Event Manager to support overall event operations
- Assist with timelines, floor plans, and event-day coordination
- Troubleshoot décor or event-related issues quickly and professionally
Team Leadership
- Hire, train, and supervise décor staff and event setup crew
- Create staff schedules for décor setup and teardown
- Ensure team members follow venue standards, safety rules, and décor procedures
Administration & Organization
- Track décor inventory, supplies, and ordering needs
- Maintain client records, contracts, and payment logs
- Provide weekly updates to management on upcoming events and décor plans
Qualifications
- Must have 1-2 years experience in event décor, event planning, hospitality, or related fields
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lead a team and manage multiple events at once
- Creative eye for décor, design, and aesthetics
- Ability to lift décor items and work flexible hours (evenings/weekends as needed)
