We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Draftsperson to join our team in Abbotsford BC. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career and grow into a Project Manager position within our organization. You will play a key role in creating accurate shop drawings, supporting project teams, and ensuring client specifications are met with precision.
This is a full-time position from Mon-Fri, 7:00AM -4:00PM
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate 2D/3D CAD drawings for ceiling and wall systems based on project specifications
- Collaborate with project managers, production, and design teams to deliver technical drawings that meet manufacturing standards
- Review architectural plans and specifications to identify design challenges and opportunities
- Support project managers by coordinating technical details with clients, contractos, and architects
- Maintain organized project documentation and ensure timely delivery of drafting work
- Proactively engage in learning and development with a view to transitioning into project management
Experience
- Diploma in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or at least 3 years proven experience in drafting within architecture, engineering, or construction environments with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Proficiency in CAD software including AUTOCAD
- Experience with Revit, or similar is an asset
- Knowledge of construction processes and strong understanding of construction drawings, architectural plans, and technical detailing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and clients
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail
