Position Overview:
We are seeking Production Assembly Technicians/ Operators to join our dynamic team at our Markham facility. This role involves the precise assembly and soldering of small electronic medical devices. The ideal candidate will have excellent manual dexterity, experience working with fine components, and a solid understanding of quality standards in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble small, high-precision medical devices following detailed work instructions
- Perform fine hand soldering under a microscope
- Bond or glue small components with precision
- Inspect, test, and meet strict quality and performance standards
- Prepare finished devices for shipment
- Maintain clean and safe workstations, adhering to quality and regulatory standards (ISO 13485)
- Accurately complete production documentation and follow established procedures
- Gather, organize, and/or package individual components for production staging (kitting)
- Lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education preferably in Biotechnology, health or related field
- Students or recent graduates interested in medical device manufacturing are encouraged to apply
- At least one year of hands-on experience in medical device assembly, electronics, jewelry assembly, or similar precision work highly preferred
- Proficiency in hand soldering, with experience using microscopes for detailed tasks preferred
- Comfortable working with very small components
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and consistently
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor coordination and visual accuracy, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Understanding of manufacturing processes in regulated environments (ISO 13485) highly preferred
