Our Sample Department in Toronto is currently seeking team members to join as Sample Fabricators.
Position: Sample Fabricator
Location: 950 Lawrence Avenue West, Toronto,ON
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work days and Hours: Monday to Friday - overtime on weekends available if requested, 40-44 hrs/week
Compensation: $19.00/hour Time and a half when working overtime
What's the role about?
This is a full-time, on-site, and hands-on position responsible for producing tile samples, assembling sample boards, building and installing product displays, and supporting our sales and showroom teams with their sample requests. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, take pride in their work, and be willing to assist wherever needed. This position requires someone who works well as part of a team, can follow instructions, and is comfortable working in a warehouse and fabrication environment.
What your week looks like
· Create samples out of porcelain tile and other flooring products
· Fabricate according to specifications and drawings provided
· Cut, trim and adhere materials to boards, panels, and binders
· Assist Sales Reps in preparing display boards for dealers/clients
· Assist the Showroom department in pulling samples for clients
· Assist architectural and designer sales reps in preparing samples and display
· Ensure professional look and alignment on displays and sample boards
· Manage time properly to finish jobs in specified deadlines
· Keep the sample library organized
· Maintain a clean and safe workspace
What we're looking for
· Positive attitude, willing to help
· Organized, proactive and detail-oriented
· Willing to learn and knows how to follow instructions
· Experience related to tile setting, masonry and stone fabrication and installation is an asset but not a requirement
· Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
· Willing to work in a manufacturing/fabrication plant setting
· Legally authorized to work in Canada
