Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Pasta Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Italian cuisine, exceptional food preparation skills, and the ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff. This role involves creating authentic pasta dishes, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and ensuring an excellent dining experience for our guests. Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience is highly valued, along with a strong background in food handling and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pasta dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Oversee food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control and ordering supplies
- Lead team members in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings
- Ensure timely service while maintaining high-quality standards for all dishes served
- Train new staff members on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and customer service expectations
- Uphold hospitality standards by serving guests with professionalism and courtesy
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, specifically with pasta dishes
- Supervising experience in a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry
- Excellent team management and leadership abilities
- Ability to oversee restaurant operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality
- Skilled in food handling, sanitation, and kitchen organization
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
- Effective communication skills to serve guests professionally and coordinate with team members
- Leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork, training, and motivating staff
