Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency specialized Registered Nurses to join our healthcare team. These roles involve providing high-quality nursing care to patients in under-serviced communities.
Responsibilities
- Delivering high-quality, compassionate, and timely nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
- Triage, assess, prioritize, and stabilize patients based on the severity of their condition.
- Administering medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
- Assisting with diagnostic procedures and coordinating care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Documenting patient information accurately and maintaining clear, timely medical records.
- Responding effectively to medical emergencies and life-threatening situations.
- Educating patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Maintaining compliance with professional standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum 1 year experience working in specialty
- Current certifications as to specialty BLS, ACLS, CTAS
- PALS, TNCC, NRP - is considered an asset
- Completion of specialty from a designated program with certification is preferred
- Satisfactory criminal record/vulnerable sector check within past year
- Record of immunizations and TB skin test within past year
