Analytic Systems Ware (1993) Ltd (www.analyticsystems.com) designs and manufactures power electronic products in Tilbury Industrial Park located in Delta, BC including Power Supplies, Inverters, Voltage Converters and Battery Chargers for the Military, Industrial and Marine markets.
The company has an opening for a Production Test Technician.
Requirements for the position:
Education:
- Technology Diploma from a technical institute, and/or equivalent experience
Experience:
- 3-5 years related experience with testing, production, electronic testing equipment and systems and industrial processes.
- Experience with switch mode power supplies is preferred.
- Experience in reading electronic schematics.
- Experience in working with BOMs (Bill of Materials)
Skill, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Must speak, read and write English.
- Fundamental knowledge of electronics, electronic design, and electronic test equipment
- Strong electronics and mechanical assembly and rework skills, including surface mount components.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge and use of computer hardware and software
Physical:
- Should possess the ability to handle light lifting, work standing or sitting, have good hand/eye coordination and good eyesight with proven color discrimination.
Mental:
- Ability to multitask, be able to analyze problems and suggest solutions, and work independently as well as work within a team environment.
Working Conditions:
- Working mostly indoors in a temperature-controlled environment
- Working near high voltages/currents
Duties:
- Building, testing, repairing, modifying, troubleshooting, assembling, and calibrating units within a power supply manufacturing factory environment.
- Setting up and operating various electronic test equipment / tools to perform product quality and performance tests.
- Inspection of electronic assemblies for compliance with design documentation and quality standards
- Meeting production deadlines while ensuring quality standards for assembly/testing.
- Ensuring the work area is organized and tidy and following the approved safety standards.
- Flexibility to assist where needed, including assembly and other production needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
