Lead and manage municipal engineering projects from inception through completion.
Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety policies and procedures.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
Manage construction contracts and oversee project delivery.
Develop project cost estimates and budgets.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
Coordinate engineering designs and construction inspections across multiple disciplines.
Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality objectives.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior engineers and technologists.
Maintain effective communication throughout all phases of project delivery.
Experience with lift stations, pumping systems, and treatment systems is considered an asset.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing with APEGA.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in municipal engineering, including:
Water distribution systems
Wastewater collection systems
Stormwater management
Drainage systems
Transportation infrastructure
Proficiency with engineering modelling software and spreadsheet analysis tools.
Strong understanding of municipal infrastructure design and construction practices.
Experience with construction contract administration and project management.
Strong cost estimating and budgeting skills.
Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be currently located in the Red Deer, Alberta area or willing to relocate.
