Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Site Superintendent to join our team and support the successful delivery of mid-rise wood-frame residential construction projects.
This position requires extensive, hands-on experience in wood-frame construction, specifically multi-storey mid-rise residential projects. Candidates without significant wood-frame mid-rise construction experience will not be considered.
Working alongside the Site Superintendent, the successful candidate will help oversee daily site operations, coordinate trades, maintain project schedules, and ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Superintendent in managing all phases of multi-storey wood-frame residential construction from site mobilization through project completion.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules.
- Apply extensive knowledge of wood-frame construction methods to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve construction challenges.
- Monitor daily site activities, conduct regular site inspections, and ensure compliance with company safety policies and Ontario health and safety regulations.
- Review and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Utilize Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project, for project documentation, reporting, scheduling, and communication.
- Assist with quality control inspections to ensure all work meets project specifications, building code requirements, and company standards.
- Support project scheduling, material coordination, and resource planning to maintain project milestones.
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and tracking project progress.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, engineers, and project management teams to resolve design, constructability, and scheduling issues.
- Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, deficiencies, inspections, RFIs, and project documentation.
Experience & Qualifications
- Extensive experience working on wood-frame residential construction projects is mandatory.
- Significant experience with multi-storey mid-rise wood-frame residential buildings is required. This is a critical qualification, and applicants without this experience will not be considered.
- Previous experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Lead Foreman, or similar supervisory role on wood-frame residential construction projects.
- Strong understanding of wood-frame construction sequencing, structural framing, building envelope systems, and finishing stages.
- Thorough knowledge of blueprint reading, construction drawings, specifications, and construction estimating.
- Proficiency using Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project.
- Strong understanding of Ontario Building Code requirements and construction best practices related to wood-frame mid-rise buildings.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple trades while maintaining project schedules and quality standards.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and workmanship.
- Relevant safety certifications and construction-related training are considered assets.

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
