Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee mechanical and industrial construction projects across multiple job sites. This role is responsible for coordinating daily site operations, supervising trades and subcontractors, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities, site staff, trades, and subcontractors.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and in accordance with specifications and contract requirements.
- Coordinate project schedules, monitor progress, and resolve on-site issues.
- Lead all site health and safety activities, including inspections, safety meetings, orientations, and regulatory compliance.
- Review construction drawings, monitor quality control, and ensure compliance with applicable building codes and installation standards.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, permits, and required project documentation.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
- Travel regularly to project sites throughout the GTA, Hamilton, Niagara, and surrounding areas.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Site Superintendent or similar construction leadership role.
- 313A Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Licence and Gas Fitter 1 (G1) Licence are required.
- Experience in mechanical or industrial construction is required.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation, COR requirements, and construction best practices.
- Experience with Procore, Microsoft Office, construction contracts, RFIs, RFQs, and change orders is an asset.
- Mechanical Engineering degree, P.Eng., project management experience, or additional trade certifications (Steamfitter, Welder, Plumber) are considered assets.
- Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence and willingness to travel extensively between project sites.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Pay: $59.55-$66.70 per hour
