Quolus Construction is currently seeking:
Lane Technicians / TCPs (Traffic Control Persons) to read and interpret traffic control plans, lead crews, and manage safe traffic flow on active construction sites. Responsibilities include coordinating work zones, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and setting up and taking down traffic control equipment.
Core Duties:
- Direct traffic in and around construction sites in line with traffic control plan, including
- coordinating with larger TCP team.
- Develop & explain traffic control plans.
- Set-up & take-down of traffic control equipment.
- Facilitate deliveries.
- Communicate with public, deliveries, and site personnel clearly and calmly.
- Lead TCP team as needed.
Other potential specialty duties:
- Lane Technician accreditation and work as needed
Job Requirements:
- Physically fit to stand for long periods.
- Intermediate verbal English.
- 2 years of TCP experience on construction sites.
- Higher density projects require increased experience.
- BCCSA accredited TCP ticket.
- WHMIS.
- Lane Control Technician certification.
- Must be able to commit to full time employment.
- Must have own tools and be able to commute to and from job site.
- Must own PPE.
