Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. This role involves timely and safe delivery of goods, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining efficient communication throughout the delivery process. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, commercial driving, and possess strong communication skills to coordinate deliveries effectively.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages and goods to various locations within designated routes
- Load and unload items, including heavy or bulky packages, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Ensure all deliveries are made accurately and on schedule, maintaining high standards of customer service
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times, delays, or issues during transit
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, performing routine inspections and reporting any maintenance needs
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including moving inventory using forklifts or manual handling equipment
- Keep detailed records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage in accordance with company policies
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience with warehouse operations, including moving inventory and forklift operation (nice-to-have)
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members
- Previous experience in warehouse or logistics environments is preferred
- Excellent time management skills to adhere to delivery schedules
- Physical ability to handle moving items and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Reliable transportation to ensure punctuality for shifts and deliveries
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour
