Overview
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Technician to join our dynamic technology team. This role is essential in providing comprehensive technical support to ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of various operating systems and network configurations. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting a wide range of hardware and software systems across multiple platforms, including Windows and Linux.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, and mobile devices.
- Website Development and Maintenance
- Troubleshoot hardware issues related to computer hardware components and peripherals.
- Social Media Marketing and Maintenance
- Assist with network connectivity issues involving LAN, VPN, firewall configurations, and wireless access points.
- Manage service requests using tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
- Support user account management and access controls across various systems.
- Configure and maintain operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of computer networking equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Perform routine system updates, patches, and security configurations to maintain system integrity.
- AI integration into support systems
Experience
- Proven experience in IT support or desktop support roles.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as LAN/WAN configuration, VPN setup, and firewall management.
- Experience using ticketing systems like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy for managing support requests.
- Hands-on experience with software troubleshooting tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices including firewall configuration and user access management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
- Prior experience working with help desk environments or customer service roles is highly desirable. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about technology support who thrive in problem-solving environments while delivering exceptional customer service.
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
