About the Role
Green Sky Commercial Group is hiring Hail Damage Inspectors to assess storm and hail damage on roofs, siding, and gutters throughout the Winnipeg area. You'll be the first point of contact with homeowners and businesses after a storm, documenting damage, educating customers on the insurance claim process, and helping them restore their property. Key Responsibilities:
1. Roof Damage Inspections:
- Conduct thorough inspections of roofs damaged by hail or windstorms.
- Assess the extent of damage and document findings accurately.
- Provide detailed reports outlining recommended repairs or replacements.
2. Quality Control Inspections:
- Perform quality control inspections on newly completed roofing projects.
- Ensure that work meets industry standards, company specifications, and client expectations.
- Identify any deficiencies or areas needing improvement and work with the installation team to address them promptly.
3. Haag Certification (Asset):
- Haag Certification is highly desirable and will be considered an asset for this role.
- Utilize advanced knowledge and techniques in roof inspection methodologies, particularly in assessing storm-related damage.
4. Comfortable with Heights:
- Comfortably navigate roofs at various heights to conduct thorough inspections.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks while working at elevated levels.
5. Service Van Operation:
- Drive a service van to different job sites for inspections and assessments.
- Maintain the service van in good condition and ensure it is stocked with necessary equipment and materials.
6. Experience in Roofing and Siding (Asset):
- Previous experience in roofing and siding installations will be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and best practices is advantageous.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience in roofing, construction, or a related field.
- Haag Certification preferred.
- Comfortable working at heights and navigating roofs safely.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document findings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring moderate to heavy lifting.
