Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Recycling Labourer to join our team. This role involves sorting and handling recyclable materials in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing repetitive tasks, working in dusty conditions, and adapting to changing weather and temperatures.
Responsibilities
- Sort recyclable materials accurately and efficiently
- Remove contamination from recycling streams
- Perform repetitive lifting, bending, and standing throughout shifts
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
- Assist with loading and unloading materials when required
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Operate forklifts and other equipment safely when required
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Comfortable working in dusty environments and varying climates
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Valid forklift certificate
- Previous labour or recycling experience is considered an asset
