Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service, coordinating vehicle repairs, and ensuring a smooth communication flow between customers and our service technicians. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, sales skills, and experience in dealership or automotive repair environments.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, establishing a welcoming environment
- Accurately assess customer vehicle issues through effective communication and mechanical understanding
- Prepare detailed repair orders, including recommended services and necessary parts
- Explain repair needs and maintenance options clearly to customers, emphasizing benefits
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
- Handle customer inquiries regarding vehicle status, repair estimates, and billing with professionalism
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately for payments and service transactions
- Schedules service and repair appointments.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Service or Parts Advisor
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to clients
- Experience with cash handling and transaction processing
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- previous experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
Requirements
Knowledge and understanding of mechanical components of automobiles.
- Ability to work effectively with auto parts ordering systems and computerized work order systems.
- Basic math and keyboarding skills.
- Valid driver's licence
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Work environment involves occupational hazards associated with working in a garage
- Standing/walking/sitting for 9 hours.
- Lifting and/or carrying of merchandise items, as required, up to 50lbs
Schedule:
- 9 Hour Shift Monday -Thursday (7am-5pm)
- 7 Hour shift on Friday (7am-3pm)
- No Weekends
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
