Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of our cargo.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy trucks to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
- Assist in the maintenance of the truck and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Driver abstract must be good standing with no more than 3 demerits.
- Proven min. 1 year experience in commercial driving or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills with a strong focus on punctuality.
- Positive attitude and safety oriented mindset.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policies.
