Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Forklift Operators to join our dynamic warehouse team. You will be responsible for carrying out daily tasks in compliance with SOPs while contributing to the efficiency of daily duties. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where safety, mechanical knowledge, and teamwork are paramount.
Major Responsibilities:
- Move merchandize from one place to another using the forklift.
- Ability to operate a Telehandler is an asset.
- Operate other mechanical devices and/or other controls that operate lifting devices like lifting roll and pallets.
- Load, unload and move merchandise using the WMS.
- Inspect products to be moved for accuracy and safely move them to location using scan gun.
- Load and offload trucks using the scan gun.
- Ensure coordination of incoming and outgoing trucks.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Carry out various warehouse and logistics operations duties such as:
- Shipping, receiving, material handling and inventory control tasks in support of the team’s daily activities using powered material handling equipment.
- Primary focus is on material put away, and order picking.
- Ensuring facility is clean and maintained throughout your shift
- Ability to read and understand the company SOPs
- Understanding of all warehouse accounts
- Reporting any problems to your direct supervisor to allow for a safe and healthy work environment
- Ensure the practice of Health and Safety on a daily basis
- Staff will be cross-trained, flexible and able to move around within the team as demands and priorities change.
- Show professionalism everyday towards all departments, staff, carriers, customers, and drivers.
- Attitude is expected to be positive, motivated, and focused always.
Experience
- 3+ years of warehouse experience
- 3+ years of forklift experience
- Relevant experience working in a warehouse environment is preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety protocols
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or General education degree (GED)
Training: DOT HAZMAT, OSHA, HAZWOPER.
Certification: Forklift operator and Fall protection.
Skills and Knowledge:
Language: English
Computer: Microsoft office software, WMS, knowledge of RF scanners
Personal:
Ability to independently handle multiple tasks.
