Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Café Manager to lead our bustling café operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Duties
- Supervise daily café operations, including food preparation, serving, and cleaning procedures
- Oversee food handling and ensure compliance with food safety standards
- Manage team members through interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Handle cash transactions accurately using Micros POS systems and perform cash handling duties
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships
- Enforce health and safety regulations within the kitchen and dining areas
- Lead by example in hospitality, food industry standards, and restaurant management practices
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met
- Monitor cleanliness and organization of the café environment
Experience
- Proven supervising or team management experience in a food service or restaurant setting
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Previous restaurant management experience preferred; hotel or barista experience is a plus
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the hospitality industry
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating welcoming atmospheres
- Experience in interviewing potential team members and managing restaurant operations within the food industry
