Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced FOH Shift Leader to oversee daily operations in our Abbotsford Tasting Lounge.
The ideal candidate is someone who has a positive and coachable attitude, who is a hard working multi tasker, that knows how to make guests feel special and takes ownership of their role while supporting their team mates
You will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food & beverage service, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring Fraser Health standards, and maintaining efficient Tasting Lounge operations during shifts. Previous restaurant management, food industry experience, and familiarity with POS systems such as Square are highly desirable. Experience in hospitality, and team management will be instrumental in success within this position
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service flow during shifts
- Manage POS transactions accurately using Square systems, including cash handling
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally
- Assist with food serving, ensuring timely delivery of orders and maintaining quality standards
- Supervise team members’ performance, provide coaching, and conduct interviewing for new hires when necessary
- Ensure compliance with Farmhouse policies, health regulations, and safety procedures
- Support kitchen staff with coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations
- Handle customer complaints or issues effectively to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area throughout the shift
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management; supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Square or similar platforms
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional demeanor
- Experience in hospitality environments such as restaurants, pubs, coffee shops is a plus; Brewery experience is advantageous
- Ability to handle cash transactions, cash-ins & outs accurately and responsibly
- Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Previous restaurant experience including serving, food handling, and kitchen experience is highly valued
- Leadership qualities with the ability to oversee team members and foster a positive work environment is a must
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $21.25 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
