Renovation Lead Hand
Location: Calgary, AB
Pay: $36-$40/hour

As a Renovation Lead Hand, you will work closely with our Project Manager, playing a key role in executing projects on-site. This position offers a path for growth, with the opportunity to develop into a Project Manager role for the right candidate.
We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, communicates clearly, and can be trusted to execute without being micromanaged.
Position Details
- Full-time, Monday–Friday (8:00am–4:00pm), with occasional overtime as required
- Projects include full home renovations, bathrooms, basements, and additions
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction drawings and execute work with minimal supervision
- Coordinate daily tasks and participate in check-ins with the Project Manager to align on scope and priorities
- Erect structural and non-structural framing
- Install subfloors and floor systems
- Complete millwork installations (cabinets, trim, doors)
- Perform demolition safely and efficiently
- Handle material pick-ups and deliveries from our dedicated suppliers
- Complete occasional flooring installations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on residential renovation/carpentry experience preferred
- Strong carpentry skills across multiple scopes
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Strong communication and people skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Valid driver’s license and reliable truck for material pick-ups and deliveries
- Must have a basic set of hand tools
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
