Our best-in-class client is adding a Manager, Financial Reporting to their Accounting & Finance team at their Corporate Head Office located in Downtown Vancouver. This is your chance to contribute your strong technical accounting expertise, while being part of a brilliant and dynamic team who work very cohesively and with a leadership group that respects balance.
Our growing Vancouver client has asked us to find a technically strong CPA who will excel in their entrepreneurial environment in this newly created Manager, Financial Reporting role.
What this is ‘not’ is an armband, head visor, closed door, office-type role. You are someone who wants to learn about and understand the business, build relationships with your fellow colleagues and get involved with this Canadian business so you understand the reporting & MD&A. Your communication style is easily adaptable as you enjoy interacting with everyone throughout the organization as well as external parties.
Along with your professional team, this hands-on role will be responsible for financial reporting for the business on a monthly, quarterly & annual basis under IFRS. This includes preparation of the quarterly package including the MD&A and helping to lead the annual external audit. Our client is successful and growing so special projects will add a lot of variety to your role. Examples are getting involved in acquisitions, ERP upgrades and new technology tools and review of controls.
With beautiful offices located in downtown Vancouver our client is highly motivated to add to their team and will definitely make it worth your while. Beyond the learning and mentorships available, they offer challenging projects, great work/life balance and a very generous compensation & benefits package. If you are a strong technical accountant who loves financial reporting, working with people, systems, technology and operations and want to own this, then you will enjoy this role and be successful.
There will be minimal occasional travel to the operations sites within Canada.
This truly is a rare opportunity to join a passionate group of people who are very smart and determined to find the right fit for their corporate culture. To be considered for this unique opportunity with a dynamic, changing, and successful company, please apply today or give us a call.
