Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Soccer Referee to oversee youth and adult soccer matches. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety, fairness, and enjoyment of the game by enforcing rules, managing players, and maintaining a positive sporting environment. This role offers an opportunity to stay active, promote sportsmanship, and contribute to community recreation programs.
Duties
- Enforce game rules and regulations during soccer matches to ensure fair play.
- Make quick, accurate decisions regarding fouls, penalties, and game flow.
- Manage player conduct and resolve conflicts on the field professionally.
- Communicate clearly with players, coaches, and spectators to maintain order.
- Keep track of game time, substitutions, and score updates as needed.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by monitoring gameplay and addressing unsafe behaviors immediately.
- Attend pre-game briefings and post-game reports as required.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of soccer rules and regulations.
- Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with players, coaches, and spectators.
- Ability to stay alert for extended periods during matches.
- Physical fitness to keep up with the pace of the game and move around the field comfortably.
- Prior experience as a referee or in sports officiating is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed.
- A positive attitude, professionalism, and a commitment to fair play are essential for success in this role.
Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
