Dessert Holdings is looking for aFull Time Production / Relief Setup Operatorto join our team based in London, ON. This individual will be responsible for setting up and troubleshooting equipment to maintain production standards. You'll ensure cleanliness, support line staff, and adhere to safety and quality protocols.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:(this is meant to be an outline, not an exhaustive list of responsibilities)

Configure, position, and reposition production equipment in accordance with engineering specifications to support product changeovers and facility layout modifications, including dismantling existing line configurations and reassembling components with precise alignment to ensure operational continuity and optimal line performance.

Conduct pre-operational verification runs, diagnostic assessments, and troubleshooting activities on production equipment to verify functionality, identify mechanical, pneumatic, or drive-related issues, detect abnormal operating conditions, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize production disruptions.

Operate jacks, hoists, bowl hoisting equipment, and other material-handling devices to safely lift, position, secure, and transport heavy equipment, mixing vessels, processing bowls, and production line components during setup, installation, and changeover activities.

Use measuring and testing tools, including digital scales, calipers, and measuring cups, to verify that food products, packaging, and production processes meet required specifications, report deviations and collaborate with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.

Maintain equipment and facility hygiene standards in accordance with GMPs, Master Sanitation Schedules, BRC requirements, company policies, and the five steps of cleaning .

Remove waste as required and safely use, store, and maintain cleaning equipment, hand tools, and materials.

Complete and maintain all required documentation, including BRC audit records and other operational paperwork.

Coordinate with staff throughout the shift to support continuous operations, maintain quality standards, and assist with troubleshooting, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.

Support setup activities, contract cleaning and maintenance services, employee training, and continuous learning initiatives as required.

Adhere to all company safety, quality, performance, and food safety standards, policies, and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma is preferred.

Must be legally eligible to work full-time in Canada.

1-2 years of experience working as a machine or set up operator in a continuous process manufacturing environment, preferably food or pharmaceutical.

Undergraduate degree or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.

Chemical knowledge and comfortable working with exposure to cold temperatures

Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
-
Adhering to safety, quality and performance standards.

Ability to work independently, well organized, effective judgment.

Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to understand mechanics and technical tasks

Excellent attendance record and demonstrated reliability.

Ability to perform heavy lifting, climb stairs, navigate around equipment, and work with a sense of urgency.

Cooperative and works well with others, strong communicator.

Willing and able to be trained on working at heights and safe use of aerial platform equipment (Genie-boom Lifts, Scissor Lifts)
Shift Summary:

Required to be available for4daysshifts per week between Monday - Saturday.
-
All the shifts are rotational and runfor 10hours with a 30-minute break added.

Pay Rate:While performing Production role, probationary rate per hour is $21.18and full rate is $23.53
While performingSetup Operator role, probationary rate per hour is $25.57and full rate is $28.42
