Unit Electric, located in Okanagan Falls, is seeking experienced Journeyperson Electricians to join our manufacturing team. Reporting to the Lead Hand, this role involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where teamwork and adherence to quality standards are essential. This position is part of the United Steel Workers bargaining unit and is subject to the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.

Responsibilities
- Plan, install, assemble, and troubleshoot electrical power and control systems used in electrical distribution equipment, modular buildings, and power generation units.
- Work collaboratively with the production team, project managers and the engineering team.
- Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes and specifications.
- Diagnose, locate the cause of, and repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment to ensure compliance with codes and specifications.
- Mentoring and training apprentices.
Qualifications
- Personal tools of the trade and steel toed boots.
- Interprovincial Red Seal certification required.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self motivated, team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Superior working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code while following company specifications and standards to ensure the highest level of workmanship, while meeting productivity levels.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.
