Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations within our vibrant food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, managing team members, and maintaining efficient kitchen workflows. Previous experience in hospitality, food industry, or hotel settings, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS, is highly desirable. The Kitchen Supervisor will play a key role in fostering a positive team atmosphere while upholding the highest standards of food quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking activities
- Manage and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards
- Oversee food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations and safety protocols
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Handle cash transactions and POS operations accurately using Micros POS or similar systems
- Interview and onboard new team members, supporting team management and development
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with sanitation standards
- Enforce restaurant policies related to food safety, hygiene, and quality control
- Lead by example in providing excellent hospitality experiences for guests
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant management, or hospitality roles, including supervising teams
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Background in food handling, serving, and restaurant operations preferred
- Ability to manage cash handling procedures accurately
- Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interview and train staff effectively
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and best practices in restaurant management
