Position Summary
The Shipper & Receiver will be responsible for all functions associated with material warehousing including picking orders, shipping and receiving. The Shipper & Receiver will perform all duties in a timely and orderly fashion to the best of their abilities and with the utmost due care, integrity and professionalism. Key responsibilities
General Duties:
· Make a personal commitment to consistently provide superior customer service to ECCO’s customers so they will want to do repeat business with ECCO
· Maintain good working relationship with all co-workers and ECCO employees
· Read and comply with ECCO’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
· Read and comply with ECCO’s Human Resources Policies and Procedures
· Assist in the success of ECCO’s Safety Program with suggestions and by setting a good example, also by ensuring that safety is at the forefront of your actions while at work
· Adhere to shipping and receiving policies, procedures and regulatory compliance procedures
· Complete a daily pre-shift forklift inspection at the start of every shift
· Fill all orders as quickly and accurately as possible, checking both the item number and product description before recording on the appropriate papers
· Receive all manufacturing and resale products accurately in a timely fashion and in compliance with ECCO’s receiving procedures
· Maintain the warehouse, receiving areas, and yard in a clean and organized manner; fill pick bins as necessary and as directed
· Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment
· Pick/ship goods to customers in an efficiently and accurately manner
· Ensure proper documentation is supplied with each shipment; this includes packing, sealing, and labeling materials to prepare for shipping
· Record all damages and shortages and sign freight bills accordingly
· Fill out/prepare picking tickets
· Assist with loading trailers, preparing and shipping LTL orders as necessary
· Ensure warehouse is appropriately stocked at all times
· Report any maintenance requirements, accidents, incidents, and near-misses immediately to your supervisor
· Participate in all over time if required
· Participate in yearly inventory count

Qualifications:
· HVAC experience an asset
· Post-Secondary Education an asset
· Minimum 1-year experience in a warehouse environment
· Forklift certification a requirement
· Physically capable of lifting up to 50lb
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a busy environment; as well as ability to work within a team
· Strong sense of time organization and urgency
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Desire to be a long-term employee and contribute to the company’s overall success
