Production Technician
Location: Winnipeg
Status: Full-time
Reports to: Production Manager
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, our ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative, displays problem-solving and decision-making abilities, has excellent organizational skills and can maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast paced and changing work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) in a full-scale production environment.
- Conduct programs of sampling, weighing and analysis to maintain quality standards of products.
- Responsible for escalating issues to shift lead/supervisor
- Responsible for general housekeeping of production area.
- Responsible for completion of startup/cleaning checklists
- Ensure accurate information and data are being documented throughout the day to day routine
- Collaborate with shift lead/supervisor to ensure all tasks are completed for the shift
- Cleaning and maintenance of production stations
- Adherence to health and safety policies
- Escalate quality deviations or production constraints to shift lead/supervisor
- Other duties as may be required.
Qualifications:
- Strong sense of work quality and safety;
- Effortlessly takes direction and follows through on tasks;
- Capable of working both independently and on a team;
- Good communication skills both written and verbal;
- Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Experience in food manufacturing and/or in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment would be considered an asset;
- Previous production experience would be considered an asset;
- Keen eye for detail;
- Ability to meeting physical demands including reaching, bending, walking, standing and performing repetitive work;
- Flexibility to work shift work as required.
