We are seeking Team Leader in our Quality Assurance department to join our dynamic team at our Seating Division in Kitchener.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Documents & maintains quality standards to be in line with established Engineering standards.
· Determines & documents in-process controls and inspections to meet quality standards.
· Trains and audits staff in required quality processes, including those related to new products.
· Solves quality-related issues including use of CARs.
· Assists in proper use and updates of ISO & CAR system
· Ensures & updates as needed final QA inspection process to meet the quality standards.
· Promotes and builds an overall positive attitude towards quality throughout the production facility.
· Manages the special and showroom inspection processes.
· Works with Assembly, Foam gluing, Finishing & Sanding, upholstery & Trim Team Leaders on ensuring the quality of products, training / retraining needs for staff, issuing CARs for repeated issues,
· Analyses FPR, Scrap & Rework issues working with Engineering, Team Leaders, provides input, training needs and reduction of FPRs & Scrap & Rework.
· As needed. Maintains a safe working environment for staff in accordance with O.H.S.A.
· Performs all responsibilities/services in accordance with company Quality Assurance procedures.
· Manages Greenguard test requirements throughout the facility and results
· Supports testing & approval of Disinfectants and cleaning chemicals on all different materials used in products
· Support Incoming Inspection when required
Performs any other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 3 – 5 years quality assurance experience, ideally in Upholstery production environment, as well as past supervisory experience.
· Excellent communication skills – comfortable dealing with all levels of personnel, and facilitating teams.
· Knowledge of manufacturing systems (Shipping labels, id tags, regulatory labels, B.O.M., order tracking, etc.)
