Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to various skill levels, focusing on technical skills, game strategies, and physical conditioning
- Lead engaging practice sessions that motivate athletes to improve their volleyball techniques and teamwork abilities
- Plan and organize team practices, drills, and competitive matches while ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Provide constructive feedback to players to enhance their individual performance and overall team cohesion
- Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and positive attitude among team members while fostering a fun and inclusive environment
- Monitor player progress through assessments and maintain detailed records of training activities and performance metrics
- Collaborate with other coaches, staff, and parents to support athlete development and coordinate team events
Skills
- Proven experience in coaching volleyball at school, club, or community levels with a passion for teaching the sport
- Strong knowledge of volleyball techniques, rules, and game strategies
- Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct players of diverse ages and skill sets
- Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to achieve their personal best
- Experience in teaching or coaching swimming is a nice-to-have bonus that demonstrates versatility in sports instruction
