Job Purpose
Safe operation of Forklift and Loader while maintaining continuous and effective flows of production.
Duties and Responsibilities
Could involve all or more of the following tasks.
- Load and unload products from trailers using loader and other material handling equipment
- Transport products to and from warehouse and distribution areas
- Communicate regularly/ daily with production manager to optimize and minimize material handling waste
- Identify and report faulty equipment, damage, and safety concerns to supervisor immediately
- Record information regarding movement of supplies, materials, and finished products.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of yard, and warehouse.
- Snow removal responsibilities in the winter
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong safety mindset with the ability to perform all duties with a high degree of safety consciousness
- 5 to 10 years’ experience required.
- Mechanically inclined
- Front end loader experience
- Exceptional communication experience
- Lift Truck Safety certificate and other professional certification required
Working Conditions
Plant conditions, working with heavy machines, and possible loud noises.
Essential Job Function Requirements
May require heavy lifting up to 50lbs, extended periods of standing, extended periods of sitting, active movement required, and must be able to work with hands. Hot and cold working environments both inside and outside.
