Job Description:
We are looking to hire a 3rd or 4th year Electrical Apprentice with ICI experience to undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure. Your job will involve demolition of and installing electrical wiring and conduit in commercial buildings. The Electrical work will be in the ICI sector (Industrial, Commercial & Institutional). The ideal candidate(s) must be highly motivated and organized with a great attention to detail. The goal will be to install all kinds of electrical devices, conduit, wiring, distributors/feeders, fire alarm wiring, lighting and controls in a timely and efficient manner. We are hoping that the candidate will obtain their 309A license with us and graduate into a more senior position within the company over the coming years.
Responsibilities:
- Execute & Install plans of electrical wiring for commercial buildings
- Install electrical equipment, wiring and conduit in buildings
- Install circuit-breaker panels, switches, resistors, power generators and other electrical equipment
- Install fire alarm wiring and devices according to specifications and regulations
Qualifications:
- Hands on experience in the electrical field is required.
- Working in a team & independently, willing to learn and dedicated to get the job done in a timely and efficient manner
- Ability to read blueprints, have a basic understanding of the electrical code and basic math/code calculations.
- Advanced conduit bending experience
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and resolve issues in a timely manner. This includes working with senior licensed electricians during installation
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship
Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour
